Biography

My 20 year career has offered me the opportunity to work in many settings. My privilege has been to always work first and foremost with the parent and child and then to complement that relationship with other adults involved in each child’s care. Thus I have worked in children’s homes, in clinic/community/Nursery settings, Mainstream schools, schools for children presenting as on the autistic spectrum and schools for children with Mild to moderate learning difficulties. I have worked within the statutory sector and within the PVI environment. I have managed the Islington Early Years Speech and Language therapy service and have contributed to service reviews. I am currently an external university tutor at City University and a Consultant in supporting teachers in Practitioner reflection and continuing professional development. I present seminars and workshops for Speech and Language therapists on Parent and adult/practitioner child interaction. I am the proud mother of two.

I am a registered Speech and language therapist. A member of the Royal College of speech and language therapists RCSLT and a member of the association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). I am also registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
